a million against hillary

A Facebook group, "Stop Hillary Clinton: (One Million Strong AGAINST Hillary)," formed months ago at the onset of the 2008 campaign. Today the group passed the 325,000 member mark on its way to 1,000,000 members. Of all the candidates not names Kucinich and Gravel, Hillary is the one person I could never, ever support as president of the United States. This is already the largest single issue political group on Facebook that I can find. I think it goes to the heart of American sentiment regarding Hillary. A Hillary ticket on the democrat side would be the best news for any republican candidate this election. Nothing would re-energize the downtrodden republican base like the opportunity to oppose Hillary. I predict that even her poor poll results against republican candidates are actually worse in reality. People that normally wouldn't vote or aren't exicted about the GOP candidate will go out to vote just to vote against Hillary. She is the slimiest politician I could imagine. She has no ideas. She is the only politician I can name that actually disgusts me. Our nation is already too far down this path towards socialism...we don't need a full fledged socialist to run our country.

fred on leno and rudy's 12 commitments...

Fred Dalton Thompson appeared on Leno tonight and did a pretty good job. He showed that there is someone else out there that sees government as most of us do. I liked his shtick about him not running for president since high school (like the others). He also made a comment many of us have made deriding the unneccesary length of campaigns these days. He truly never wanted or thought about being president. He is just the right person in the right place at the right time.

Fred has also launched his website recently. I like the concept. His campaign isn't going to be like any other. If you are interested you can visit imwithfred.com.

We're still waiting to hear if he is actually running...hah.

Rudy, on the other hand, is in full swing. He has listed out 12 commitments to the American people. I like most of them, alot. The only hole I can pinpoint is social security reform. But, since he support free-market solutions for most problems I am sure I will agree with any policy he may support for fixing social security.

Here they are:

1. I will keep America on offense in the Terrorists’ War on Us.
2. I will end illegal immigration, secure our borders, and identify every non-citizen in our nation.
3. I will restore fiscal discipline and cut wasteful Washington spending.
4. I will cut taxes and reform the tax code.
5. I will impose accountability on Washington.
6. I will lead America towards energy independence.
7. I will give Americans more control over, and access to, healthcare with affordable and portable free-market solutions.
8. I will increase adoptions, decrease abortions, and protect the quality of life for our children.
9. I will reform the legal system and appoint strict constructionist judges.
10. I will ensure that every community in America is prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
11. I will provide access to a quality education to every child in America by giving real school choice to parents.
12. I will expand America’s involvement in the global economy and strengthen our reputation around the world.
